CLASSES
Bachata classes with Negar and Thomas primarily consists of a blend modern and sensual styles of Bachata, as well as sprinkles of Traditional Bachata, which essentially incorporates Salsa styled partner work with the flowing rounded movements of Zouk and syncopated footwork of Traditional Bachata.
BACHATA 1
No previous dance or Salsa experience is required as this is an absolute beginner's class.
In this level you will learn Modern and Dominican lead-and-follow frameworks. You are also introduced to fundamental lead and follow techniques, including rhythm recognition, simple turns, change of place, and step touches.
BACHATA 2
After you are comfortable with foundations and vocabulary, this level builds off Bachata 1 to create more dynamic combinations.
Here, you continue with various cross body lead, lead-and-follow spot turns, and some body movements to make your basics look good on the dance floor. Some simple lady styling for the social dance floor will also be covered.
BACHATA 3
This level is for advanced-beginner to intermediate dancers. The primary style being taught will be Modern Bachata, with touches of Dominican and Sensual style sprinkled in. The focus is on partnering skills, cool turn patterns, body movement, balance and connection.
